My original idea was to photograph the word "dictionary" from an actual dictionary but I couldn't get a shot I liked which is a shame because it would have been most appropriate since my bedtime reading at the moment is the dictionary - going through one letter per night - trying to look for ideas for this challenge. So I played around with a few other objects and 116 photos later....

Very prettily done, and I think more festive, colourful and attractive than the printed word (which is obviously what you found out!). Nice one and I like the off-centre composition. Good job, yet again!
ReplyDeleteI love your composition on this and am in awe of your theme!
ReplyDeleteI love this.... red is my favorite. Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteYet another beautifully composed photo.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous festive red ball, and I like the way you off centered this.
ReplyDelete116 huh? Who says us Worthians are crazy photographers??? Huh? Huh?
Wonderful cropping of the ball :) I'm so used to seeing Christmas balls photographed fully and dead center. This makes such a refreshing change.
ReplyDeleteOnly 116 ... ? This one is looking good, especially the composition.
ReplyDeleteYou know I like the way you use words I would not think of.
D is for Divine photograph.
ReplyDeletelove it.
I like the way that the cord that maintains the ball is not stretched. We know that the ball is based on something (that does not appear in the photo), but the impression of "no tension" is delightful to see!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious to see your other 115 shots :-)!
Congrats again!
Tom
A very nice shot love the crop
ReplyDeleteSimple but elegant photo. You got good eyes to come up with something like this. Excellent!
ReplyDeletePersistence pays off! (usually) I do the same thing...shoot and shoot. I'm glad I'm not buying film anymore :D
ReplyDeleteI'd thought about doing something like this with one of our nice decorations, then the cat got in the tree and knocked it off! Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Love the colour, composition and the fact the hanger has its knot showing.
