A rose. One of only three in our garden and I have to go and pick it and use it for photographic purposes. I hope you think it was worth it. And full view is sooooo much better :-)

My theme for January 2009 is: "Things close up - alphabetical style". For this challnge I have chosen to use my Olympus sp-310.
Oh, Pretty, Pretty Petals! Lovely closeup and a beautiful white background with great emphasis on the satin texture and colour of the rose. Fabulous composition too. Very nice work!
ReplyDeleteWhat she said... I love your focus on just some of the edges of the petals.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty rose and a lovely idea for "P".
ReplyDeleteYour focus is spot on and I like your crisp white background, well done indeed.
I hope people are taking the time to view in full, it's well worth it.
Lovely, Lovely, Lovely!!!
That's very nice indeed, great colourful picture. Really eye-popping!
ReplyDeleteThe crisp edges in the front and the softness of the back really appeal to me. Your lighting is very complementary and your off center composition makes this very special.
ReplyDeleteLovely color and texture and that rose looks close enough for me to smell its fragrance :) Very pretty shot, well worth the picking!
ReplyDeleteI think you got the light just right...along with the composition. I think this could be the front of a Valentines card.
ReplyDeleteThe sacrifices we make for this challenge ... but yours was a wise one. I do hope you put it on water of dry it to enjoy its beauty a little longer. Or make a canvasprint and hang it on the wall!
